Kay's Qualifications: Certificate in Regulated Complaints Handling, Certificate in Supervising in a Regulated Environment
Kay joined the Company in October 1998 and is now one of the longest-serving members of the team. She joined the Company first as an office administrator, progressed to running the accounts department and then became the practice manager. In October 2018 she accepted the role of associate practice director. Her main responsibilities are as follows:
- IT systems,
- marketing and business development,
- financial reporting and accounting,
- health & safety and
- premises and facilities.
Kay prides herself on her organisational skills and project planning and has organised two office moves and all that entails. She doesn't let anything beat her and if she doesn't know how to do something, she finds out how and then teaches others to do the same. She is a huge fan of spreadsheets to help her with her role and loves learning how to use new equipment thoroughly, embracing change and the use of new technology.
Kay dreams of travelling the world, experiencing different ways of life and new surroundings but would like to do this in lots of small trips so she's not away from her family and friends for too long. Kay enjoys cooking for loved ones and has even catered for 20 people over a recent long weekend away. She has previously run for Stourbridge Running Club and competed in numerous races, even beating one of our Directors, Dale Gough, in the Birmingham Half Marathon in 2012! However, even though she keeps trying to get back into running, family life with her husband, two sons and numerous pets keeps getting in the way. She relaxes by immersing herself in a Netflix series usually fantasy or sci-fi related snuggled up with one of her cats in front of the fire.
